Hello downriver wrestling fans,
   Welcome to the official News-Herald wrestling blog. I'm the newest sports writer at the N-H, and will be covering all of the downriver wrestling teams this winter season, I'll also be covering Girls' Basketball, and some of the downriver hockey teams, but those will get their own blogs.
   A little background info on me, I am a wrestler through and through.  I wasn't very good, average at best, but I poured my heart and soul into it every time I stepped onto the mat. I wrestled in high school for a little school you may have heard of, Temperance-Bedford. We only won one state championship, and had one runner-up finish while I was in school, but we also had the first team from our school to not qualify for the state quarter-finals since the format change in 1988, we were 27-1 that season, with the loss coming in the form of a 30-29 defeat to a team we had crushed a few weeks earlier in a dual meet.
   I'll share more of my own experiences, and my thoughts on all of the downriver teams as I get a chance throughout the season, check back often, you never know what you might find.
